Arva had been eager to continue her education in psychology since she arrived in the United States in 2005 but was required to start over. She looked for an area that did not require studies, so she could make a living while continuing with what she loved doing. 

Finding herself in the beauty industry, she started to do Henna Art with quite a number of challenges. First, she did not know if it would be a success. Then she lacked the confidence in driving on US roads where she had to accompany the whole family when she had to do site visits. Also, she was challenged by the number of regulatory barriers she had to pass when it comes to having safe chemical compositions of Henna. This forced her to develop her own brand of homemade organic henna made using only authentic certified materials to create beautiful art pieces of Henna art.

Arva, initially put flyers around Indian Grocery stores so everyone could try her henna art form that was exclusively from their culture—until one day when she received a call from Rutgers University about Henna Artistry, which was the turning point of her business journey. Now she serves not only Rutgers University but other popular universities such as UPenn, Drexel, Immaculata, St. Johns, Muhlenberg. She not only conducted sessions but was also invited to deliver lectures on Henna Art in universities such as the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the College of New Jersey.

Due to Covid, Arva has been facing challenges due to limitations in in-person contact. Especially those of cancellation from university events and corporate-sponsored ones. Luckily for this smart entrepreneur, there was another option available: Bridal Henna! As such she's changed her business model into Bridal Henna she has been gaining more customers than ever before!

Arva's dream is to become a part of the White House’s annual Eid party. While having that goal in her mind, she still strives hard and wants more knowledge on how she can match up with her mentors who have been in this industry before – Bharthi, Pallavi, and Bhavna.

Her knowledge in the field has allowed her to succeed. She is a hard-working and dedicated woman who was able to build up this business over time with help from some loyal customers, employees that she's always looked out for when it comes down to making decisions about what needs doing internally at any given moment within the business. She has the best business partner, her husband, who helps her in the financial department while she is busy with everything else.

Today, in addition to her henna studio, Arva owns a full-scale entertainment business, which involves caricature, face painting, masseurs, cotton candy, snow cones, photo booths, and more. 

A combination between education, passion, and hard work successfully aligned themselves proving the current state of Arva’s business journey as a renowned Henna Artist!
