Chelsey started her business – Tameless Designs about 8 years ago when she had a daughter. She preferred to be at home with the baby while making an income, so instead of going back to work in an office space for eight hours every day as most people do; Chelsey does Custom Clothing and Graphic Designs (Logos/Business Cards/ Advertisements) in her own facility. She has about 16 years of experience in graphic design. When it comes time for events or festivals, she visits local events (such as baseball, hockey, football, and soccer games) where you can find shirts made on-site - one unique selling proposition for the company: "we come right where YOU live!"
Chelsey is a lone ranger in her business world. She is currently running her business single-handed with the help of a couple of other employees who comes in during busy times. had to do everything from customer order handling, marketing, accounting, and event planning by herself. It is nearly impossible for one person to do it all without help while being a full-time mother. But even so, Chelsey has been very attentive to her business so nothing would slip through the cracks when it comes to maintaining customers relationships. Through a lot of hard work, Chelsey has been able to overcome her challenges and now she's an inspiration for other entrepreneurs. As she says “Entrepreneurship is not for the faint-hearted, definitely have thick skin if you want to succeed!”.
COVID19 had a significant impact on Chelsey's custom clothing business as the schools shut down and many live events were postponed. But she is now back in full swing with the gradual reopening of schools, their sports teams' games (especially football and Hockey). She is very happy with the progress that her business has made so far. Her future goal is to expand and open up new markets for her services, which includes empowering school kids by holding inspirational events in their communities.
